Open ceilings, utilities, color temperature switchable lighting and wifi are included - artists bring in their own materials and equipment to personalize their studio environments and have 24-hour access to the facility. Ceramic studios are primarily on the lower level; 2D artists, mixed media, and jewelers are on the street level.

Community Ceramics
On the garden level, our spacious 2100 square foot community ceramics studio can welcome up to 50 ceramic artists, each with a dedicated 2’ x 4’ x 14” shelf for their personal work and tools, along with access to a range of ceramics equipment. Designed for those with the skills and experience to independently bring their creative visions to life, the studio is also a great fit for artists who have kiln loading and firing experience or are eager to learn that process.
We welcome artists with a variety of goals, including those transitioning from classroom settings that want to be involved in the entire ceramic process from making through firing and those who value the flexibility to work at their own pace without the limitations of scheduled studio hours. And we invite makers looking to advance their skills or who prefer to work independently. Additionally, we support artists who have making, loading and firing knowledge, and those who need a bit more space or equipment than their home studio can offer. That is, we provide a balance of autonomy with support and guidance.
The studio facility is shared with ceramic artists renting private spaces who each have their own wheels, making and storage areas. The available resources in the common area include 9 potter’s wheels, two slab rollers, an extruder, 5 cone six electric kilns, a spray booth, a selection of 10 shop glazes, a glaze mixing area and a glazing area. Members fire their own kilns or share with others, with ongoing technical support for kiln loading, firing and glaze mixing. We are also available to answer any ceramics related questions. Our leases are a minimum of 6 months, renewable, and our studio is open from 8 am to 10 pm, seven days a week.
