On the garden level, our spacious 2100 square foot community ceramics studio welcomes hand-builders and throwers as members, each with a dedicated 2’ x 4’ x 14” shelf for their personal work and tools, along with access to a broad range of ceramics equipment. It is a private Denver ceramics space designed for makers who are ready to graduate from supervised studio hours and classrooms or are working at home with limited space and equipment, so that they can move towards absolute creative independence. We provide access to those with the skills and experience to independently bring their creative visions to life. It is a great fit for artists who already have kiln loading and firing experience and it is also a training space for clay artists who are eager to learn the firing process and gain technical competency while pursuing their creative endeavors.

We welcome artists with a variety of goals: those who want to be involved in the entire ceramic process from raw clay to the final glaze firing; those who value the flexibility to work at their own pace on their own schedule in an uncrowded space; and those looking to advance their skills and/or work independently. Our independent makers model allows you to manage your own process, creativity and timeline while working in a quiet, focused environment.

The studio facility equipment is shared with ceramic artists renting private spaces who each have their own wheel, making and storage areas. The available resources in the large common area include 9 potter’s wheels, two slab rollers, an extruder, 5 cone six electric kilns, a spray booth, a selection of 10 shop glazes, a glaze mixing area and a glazing area. Members fire their own kilns or share kiln space with others. We provide free, expert, technical training and guidance for kiln loading, firing and glaze mixing, including 1-on-1 mentored firing support until you are completely confident loading and programming our kilns independently to get your pieces safely all the way through the process. You can bring in your own underglazes and commercial glazes. And we help answer ceramics related questions.

Membership is $180 per month. To protect our equipment, our culture, and your work, we require a 6-month minimum commitment, a security deposit, and a basic skills assessment for all incoming members. Firing fees are simple, predictable, flat fees based strictly on kiln size and temperature (we have 5 different sized electric kilns), not measurements by the piece. Studio hours are 8 am to 10 pm, seven days a week, with a personal key to your studio home.
